9/11 Memorial Trip
Mr. Gorman has reserved 40 passes for us to visit the 9/11 Memorial on Sunday, July 1 at 2 pm. We will meet at the Wantagh Railroad Station at 11:30 am to take the train into the city. We will take the Subway downtown to the Memorial. We need to be at the Memorial no later than 1:45 pm. The Memorial is open to 7:30 pm. We will meet at a designated spot at 5 pm to decide when we want to leave. Each member who wants to go will receive one ticket. Members in good standing can reserve up to 3 additional tickets. There is a short time to add additional ticket so Mr. Gorman needs to know if you want more than the allotted tickets by the meeting on Sunday. He will call Monday to see if he can get additional passes.
There is no cost for the visit but they ask for donations. The Circle will be donating $100. If you need any further information call Mr. Gorman at 780-4538.

To add a little fun to the meeting we will be playing kickball before our meeting on Sunday, May 20th. Anyone wishing to play should be at the council at 6:30 pm. We will play until about 7:45 and then have the meeting.
We will be going over marching in the Memorial Day Parade, the set up the day before and the food after the Parade. Family members and friends are invited back to the council after the Parade for the repast. I would like to see as many members as possible march in the Parade to honor those who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Freedoms. Signup sheets for both will be at the meeting. Mr. Gorman is looking for a couple of parents to help with the cooking. Call him at 780-4538 if you can help.
