A trip to Skirmish in the Pocano’s has been suggested. If there is enough interest we will set it up. The fact sheet for the trip can be viewed and downloaded by clicking here. You need to let Mr Gorman know if you are interested in going and the days you can go.

Officers’ Meeting Agenda
The following is the agenda for the Officers’ Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 2nd which is at the Council and will start at 6:30 PM. We will be packing items for the solder’s prior to the meeting starting at 6 PM.

Summer’s End (Almost)
Now that the Summer is almost over the Circle’s activities will be picking up. We will be starting with an officer’s meeting which is scheduled for September 2nd which is Thursday.. It will be at the Council. We will also be packing more boxes to be sent to the solder’s that night. It will start at 6:30 PM. We have two activities coming up which we will need the members to attend or help at. The first is the Senior Citizen’s Picnic which will be on Saturday, September 11th at St Frances. It will run from 10 AM to 2 PM. The second is the Council’s Instillation of Officers which is on Saturday, September 24th. It will be at the Council and will start at 6 PM. It should be over by 7:30 PM.

Soldiers’ Items Packed and Shipped
Fifteen boxes of items were packed and shipped to the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan by the members of the Circle last night (8/17). Mr. Gorman directed, Mr. Casella and Mr. Ezergalian taped, Mr. & Mrs Macklin sorted, Tom Kalenderian filmed it for our web site (thanks for bringing the camcorder) and John Casella, Marc Benedetto, Gerard and John Macklin and Matt Ezergalian packed the boxes. Last but certainly not least Mrs. Ezergalian repacked the boxes for shipping. An outstanding job of teamwork and service. The video will be posted shortly.

Soldiers’ Collection
We will be packing the boxes used to ship the items to the soldiers on Tuesday, August 17th. We will be doing it at the Council starting at 6:30 PM. It should take between a half hour and an hour. See you there.

Housekeeping Items
Membership dues of $15 are now due. Please bring them to the meeting on the 15th.
We have the St. Frances Gym on Saturday the 14th. Basketball will start at 3 PM and run until 4. We will then have Dodge Ball from 4 to 5 PM. Both activities are open to potential members.
At the meeting I will be asking for you cell numbers if I do not have it already. Information and notices will also be texted from now on to you and your parents.
You should wear your shirt to the meetings and activities. At Mass and the meetings you should wear your polo style shirt and at Basketball and Dodge Ball you should wear the t-shirt. I will let you know which one to wear to the other activities as they come up.

Collection of Items for Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan
The Circle is starting a drive to collect items which will be sent to the solder’s in Iraq and Afghanistan. A flyer which contains a list of items and which can also be downloaded by clicking here. We will be having the drive until the solders come home.

Big Apple Circus
If anyone is interested I can get discount tickets (up to 30%) to the Big Apple Circus which is playing at Eisenhower Park from now through July 4th. Call Mr. Gorman at 780-4538 if you are interested.
